ABC Cases´ CNC machinery produces high specification, 3- dimensional, foam routed inserts.
Whether single- or multi- identical units, our CAD and CNC routers allow complex shapes to be programmed and machined quickly into a variety of materials for complete component contouring.
A major advantage over manual methods is the facility to machine closely nested pockets and easily add or remove individual pockets, producing more precise inserts and exact copies.
High density foam inserts can be supplied with a variety of coloured skins and substrates, normally black skin on a yellow substrate. This creates a professional interior with all components in place, but exposes an alternatively coloured pocket when an item is removed. Missing components are therefore easy to spot and this type of interior has been widely adopted for “Tool Management” systems.
ABC Cases CNC Foam Inserts.
Tilt mechanism for lighting console and LCD monitors. A high density foam CNC insert is utilised underneath for all peripherals.
Interior view of lid for mobile light. Case has 25mm polester lining and high density C.N.C. machined insert following the exact profile of the fixture.
High density foam insert for installation kit. Insert demonstrates the accuracy to which CNC can create deep slots and minimise component footprint.
Two-Tone CNC Insert for flying frame kit. Parts easily accessible and are quickly identifiable if missing.
High density foam insert for digital projection lens and remote control. In this instance the insert is part of a larger case and is partioned off from other areas.
Simple insert for mini keyboard and tracker ball as part of a control console. CNC machining provides a quick but effective solution and gives a professional finish.
Two-Tone high density insert which demonstrates the close nesting of components that CNC machining allows, creating smaller overall inserts and therfore more compact cases.
